Hoo-gah is run by wife & husband; Gina Triolo & Danny D’Alessandri.
Gina has been a chef for 30 years and has always had an interest in creating great tasting food that is also good for you. Gina’s menu is designed to be inclusive; catering to all kinds of dietary choices with an emphasis on locally sourced produce. She also loves exploring vegan and vegetarian cuisine.
Hoo-gah is the phonetic spelling of the Danish word hygge.
The concept of hygge encompasses an atmosphere of warmth, wellbeing and cosiness. It’s when you feel at peace & are able to enjoy simple pleasures and be in the moment.
Inspired by this concept, Gina & Danny wanted to create a social space where anyone could come and enjoy delicious food & drink in the heart of Bendigo.
